Spring Look

Since I am going crazy waiting for the warm weather to get here, figured I would make the blog look more spring like. Now it's not so dark and dreary looking. I might change it to hot colors when summer comes around. Will have to see how motivational I am on that when the time comes though. Maybe a new banner too...

Suprise! Not A Happy One.

After two days of the weather having warmed up, I got my hopes up. I foolishly began to think that the snow was over and that spring was on the way. So you can imagine my disappointment when I looked out Sunday morning and saw it snowing like crazy.

So today I decided to put the snow to good use and grabbed my camera to take a few experimental shots. I didn't get to into it as I was still in my pajamas and wearing slip on shoes. The socks get a bit wet when I go in the yard with those on :P

It was still early enough that the sun hadn't made it's blazing way into the sky yet. I thought it was a perfect time to snap a shot of the trees behind my house.

My biggest thing about these pictures is the snow sitting on the branches. I think it is both beautiful and amazing how it sits. These are the trees on the side of my house.

I hadn't thought I was that close to the bush, but apparently I was! I think this really shows my amusement with the snow. "Oh my gosh! Look, look, look, it's sitting on the branches soooo high!!" Ah, you have to love Mother Nature!

Tiger Finished

Well I finished my cross-stitch Tiger yesterday, only six days late. I guess you just really can't figuring in things coming up and filling in your "free time" slots. But now that it's done I can relax and take a break, it stressed me out at the end.
I'm in a big video game mood right now so for a few weeks I won't be doing anything artsyful or crafty. Not only that but they won't let up on the weekend over time at work either x.x

Will Finish in Time?

I'm getting really excited about this now. With more than half way done and still two weeks to go, I think I will have this finished on time! It's been awhile since I could happily say that. I'm very good at either not finishing something on time or not finishing it at all. The next time I post won't be till this is done. Unless I actually draw something of course ;)

Wordle

I found this site though another blog where you can take a bunch of words and make a word collage. So using the url from this blog, I made my own.

Wordle: Art Blog

It has almost no artsy words from this blog, hehe. I was really fun to make though and I will probably play with it some more to see what else pops up.

Tomorrow I will hopefully post an update on the progress of my Tiger. Want to see how much more I get done before this day is over.

Rawr!

I'm surprised at how much I got out this past week and weekend. I finally got smart and bought a hoop to use, which helps tremendously cause it used to hurt my hand to hold the cloth.
I am determined to finish this by the end of the month. It's killing me knowing I have two more to work on. Yay, first goal of the year! Let's hope I can accomplish it with all this extra overtime coming up at work :(.

Being able to see my progress on here is amazing, it makes me glad I decided to start this blog. If nothing else comes out of it, at least I will be able to see how I progress.

The Last Finished Art of 2010

I decided to draw something for my husband for Christmas. He loves wolves so I went with one and added my own touch to it by making it blue. I was surprised it was completed. I decided two weeks before Christmas to do it and I barely got it done early Christmas morning. The picture isn't very clear which I don't know why as usually my camera takes very good pictures. It is done on a piece of Bristol that's 2.5" x 3.5" (Mini size!).

I really need to work on my fur, I don't really draw a lot of furry things though. Maybe for this new year I will make that one of my focuses, especially if I have big plans for lions :).
