Cool Stripes

I found some ATC sized paper on clearance at Wal-mart and figured I would by a pack of mixed media and Bristol to try it out. This was done on the mixed media with water color pencil and I was originally going to draw something over it but it looked so neat that even the hubby said it didn't need anything else. Now I have the urge to just make these in different colors.
I had started to attempt a flower drawing, but discovered I don't have the patients just yet for it so I am going to wait on it a bit. Guess I will go play with the water color pencils some more :)

I really didn't know what to name this one :D Don't know what I am going to work on next, been fiddling with a botanical drawing book and might do flowers next. Depends if it starts feeling like spring around here or not!

Easter Lily

For those who participate in Easter, I hope you had a wonderful day and better weather then I did. I really wish it would warm up!
Just wanted to share a picture of the beautiful Easter Lily I got for Easter, it makes the kitchen smell wonderful. ^_^

Another Trip!

It has been silly busy lately and it is still going. Tomorrow we are flying down to Texas so that we can drive back up, with plus two. I am super excited to be moving my Dad in with me, especially since I will get to spend way more time with him and not have to travel back and forth.
It is my hope that things will level out some when we get back and settled in so that I can work on my next dragon! I have it sketched out on the sketch book but that's as far as I got :D

Also, I was curious if the page looks messed up for anyone else. I noticed that it looks fine when I preview it, but when I actually go to the blog, the one side column is missing and the other one winds up at the bottom of the page. I tried playing with the settings and it didn't do anything.

I'm pretty darn pleased with how this turned out, probably should have picked a lighter color for the background but oh well. I original was going to make it's mane a full out rockin rainbow, so thankful I decided not to!

I had only been scheduled eight hours this week at work, at the point I don't care. After all, I was able to get something done finally! ^_^

First CP Pony

Yeah, I have pony fever and it was only a matter of time before it really leaked into my art :D I have this terrible itch to draw out the ponies that are not only mini figures but also in the show as a background character. So this one is known as Crimson Gala as the toy, but Red Gala in the show. Why they did that I have no clue.

I want to work out my own style, especially since I'm using colored pencils so the next one may have a completely different body build, who knows.
