This one was a blast to work on! After all this time I got my gold metallic pen to work! Was so excited it didn't crap out on me either ^_^ I probably should have picked a darker red for the second red but I didn't want to risk messing with it too much and then hating it.
the gold and red works well together here and I don't might the reds are almost similar.
ReplyDeletevisiting from SOC, have a lovely day.
Lovely piece for Soc! Valerie
ReplyDeleteOh that's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteNicely done. (Don't you hate it when you have to worry that the ink will run out before you're finished ---and that's the only pen in that color that you have?)
ReplyDeleteYou can find my SOC for this week here: http://proartz.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-of-color-2015-week-4.html
It seems like anytime I try to bring my pens out, they want to half way work or not work at all and there is plenty of ink in them -.-
DeleteThank you :)

DeleteThanks for visiting my SOC this week. You mentioned that you'd put glitter on everything if it weren't so messy. For me, the perfect way to glitter without the mess is to use sparkly nail polish. I look for it at Dollar stores and other discount places. I don't think I've ever paid more than $1.50 for a bottle. Some drug stores occasionally have nail polish for $2 with a BOGO free or BOGO for half price. I also like the metallics that aren't glittery. Sometimes I pour a little pool of n.p. right on my background and then add another color to it and mix it a bit with a toothpick to create a marbled illusion. The only trick is to leave it dry, preferably for 12-24 hours, especially if it's in a journal where you will close pages on top of it.
ReplyDeleteNice work!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
